I’m Speaking At NAMM!

I’ll be speaking at NAMM later this month, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it.

For a long time, theater music has been one of the most consistent and rewarding lanes for working musicians, especially if you’re interested in longevity. It’s not always the flashiest corner of the industry, but it’s one where real careers are built over time, through preparation, relationships, and professionalism.

On Saturday, January 24, I’ll be leading a session called Building a Career in Theater Music at NAMM. We’ll be talking plainly about what these careers actually look like, not the myth version. Broadway, tours, subbing, networking, contracts, and financial realities. The stuff people usually learn the hard way.

Session details:

  • Saturday, January 24

  • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Hilton California A

I’ll be drawing from my own experience as a Broadway drummer, touring musician, author, and the founder of Broadway Drumming 101. My goal is simple: to give musicians a clearer picture of how these opportunities really work and what’s required to sustain them over the long haul.

If you’re attending NAMM and curious about theater music as a career path, I hope you’ll come by. It should be a practical, honest conversation, and I’m happy to connect afterward as well.

Hope to see you there!!
