Clayton Craddock on Broadway playing drums for Cats: The Jellicle Ball - Featured article in The New York Times
I'm grateful to be part of Cats: The Jellicle Ball as it heads to Broadway. It's exciting to see the show highlighted in The New York Times.
It's an honor to share the stage with legends like André De Shields and Junior LaBeija. Fifty years ago, Junior couldn't afford to see André in The Wiz. Now, they perform together in a new version of Cats that blends theater, ballroom culture, and Black excellence in a way that feels both historic and timely.
Playing music in this production has been a special experience. Moments like this are rare on Broadway, and I'm proud to be part of it.
